CARDINAL STEPS UP THE PACE OF BUILDING REGENERATION
Cardinal, a key player in the promotion, property investment and management of residences in France and abroad, is stepping up its position in the regeneration of buildings.
Focus on 3 major programmes: Brazza (Bordeaux), the Collaborative Innovation Centre (Clermont Ferrand) and Good Morning Campus (Créteil).
To breathe new life into urban areas by reinventing the existing, the Cardinal group has made the regeneration of buildings one of its strategic priorities. Renowned for its uncompromising architectural choices, Cardinal continues to imagine new ways of living by giving buildings a second lease of life.
‘At Cardinal, we give a second life to sites and buildings to respond to new ways of living and working. We rethink sites, renovate, open up, transform to free up space, mix uses and encourage encounters’ Stéphane Rubi, Managing Director of Cardinal Promotion
Brazza - Transformation of industrial wasteland into an eco-neighbourhood for living, leisure and work.
In the future Bordeaux Brazza neighbourhood, Cardinal is developing the Soferti block, named after the factories that once stood there. This is a large-scale real estate complex comprising several projects: a Mob Hotel, a cultural and catering hall, an events forum, housing of all kinds (private, social, detached houses), offices, car parks, and premises for commercial and craft activities. On a site of more than 3 hectares, the development project gives pride of place to pedestrian areas and soft modes of transport, in continuity with the public spaces of the Brazza sector. In addition, Cardinal has signed the ‘Manifesto for frugal urban planning’ to promote the production of quality housing, while responding to the climate emergency. Deliveries scheduled for 2025-2026.
Collaborative Innovation Centre (PIC) - Transformation of industrial wasteland Michelin.
Cardinal is carrying out a programme here of 18,000m2 of predominantly tertiary, multi-purpose, customised and turnkey space. It will breathe new life into the vacant spaces of the former Cataroux industrial site, in the heart of Clermont Ferrand, and will eventually accommodate 2,500 people on a daily basis. Renovation and new construction: co-working offices, co-living, food court, event and wellness spaces, gardens. Delivery scheduled for autumn 2025
Créteil - Transformation of the former CPAM offices into a new generation student residence.
Cardinal has carried out the renovation and extension of this building over a total surface area of 18,000m², including a 6,500m² extension. The ‘Good Morning Campus’ residence has 571 student and co-living rooms ranging from studios to five-bedroom apartments with large shared spaces of 1,200m²: coworking spaces, chill-room, gym, Kitchen Lab, library, multimedia spaces, large rooftop, etc.
